Tharaanooradha commonly known as Thara, is a South Indian film actress who primarily works in Kannada films and a Politician with the Bharatiya Janata Party. On 15 March 2012, Tara was elected as a Chairman of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy (KCA) making her the first ever actor to hold the position. Thara has featured in over 500 commercial and Parallel Cinema.
